Amol Rajan in his article in The Independent argue that it is time that we need to focus on water footprint rather than just running behind understanding the carbon footprint and other similar schemes as it may help much more to minimize the environmental impact of consumption.

Water Footprint Network Launch

Hi There

WBCSD has developed a water footprint network in collaboration with other 6 organisations. This network is planned to launch publicly in December 2008 and would help in sustainable water management. Any public and private organisations are welcome to join.
